I took up watercolour painting when I retired 10 years ago. I had a marvellous teacher called Jill Bustamente and I was living in West Sussex at that time. Jill was an inspiration to me and I quickly learned from her in our Adult Education Class. I moved to Ringwood in 2003 and went to several art classes. All of them gave me the confidence to go for it and I realised that I was ready to paint at home. Things really took off once I left the classes behind me and I now really have to think for myself! I have a small group of friends who I have introduced to the wonderful world of Watercolour. We now meet on a monthly basis and enjoy painting together. I hope that they too will join the society in the future. |
