Art is a thread running throughout Jean’s family from design
and painting to drama. Although she chose a different career,
a talent for observation and her love of land and seascapes led
her back to art later in life.
Successfully completing a City and Guilds Level 2
Course in Mixed Media and Visual Techniques (July 2009)
Jean enjoys experimenting with various media and strives
to emulate natures colours and textures. As an active member
of Ringwood Art Society she exhibits her work locally.
Always striving to broaden her knowledge, Jean has also accepted
the offer of a position to study for a Foundation Diploma in Art
and Design at the Arts Institute Bournemouth University (Sept. 2009).
Living on a farm, on the border of the New Forest and East Dorset,
Jean offers Art Holdays for visitors with full board accommodation
in the beautiful 4 and 5 Star cottages at the farm including use of the
studio, demos and field trips for small groups. Visitors are invited to
create original artwork in a relaxed and friendly rural environment.
