Art is a thread that has run throughout Jean’s life and family,
from design and painting to acting. Although she chose a different
career, her talent for observation and love of the natural landscape
led her back to art later in life.
After successfully completing City & Guilds Mixed Media and
Visual Techniques in July 2009, Jean was offered a place to study
Art & Design at The Arts University College Bournemouth passing
the Foundation Degree in June 2011. Further studying at the Norfolk
Oil Painting School using traditional techniques.
Jean enjoys experimenting with various media and strives to emulate
nature’s colours and textures in her work. She is best known for her
landscapes and seascapes but also now, for her use of light in life
studies, equestrian and wildlife work.
Jean has been very successful in exhibitions and galleries in the south
of England, with paintings sold to collectors both in the UK, Europe
and as far as New Zealand. Her aim, is that a picture offers the viewer
as much emotion and pleasure, as did the inspiration and creation of it.
