Ringwood Art Society Summer Exhibition 2011
11th to 29th August 2011
We had the pleasure of having Gillian Habbin MBE open this year's annual exhibition. Gillian is the president of Greyfriars Community Association and a founder member. Consequently, Gillian was awarded the MBE this year in recognition of her outstanding service to the community. As well as opening the proceedings, Gillian also presented the prizes to our winning artists. This year's adjudicator was John Butterworth - he had an extremely tough job to do and spent an afternoon carefully selecting his winners. Ringwood Art Society Summer Exhibition 2010 Ringwood Art Society Summer Exhibition 2010 was kindly opened by Marilyn Barber, news editor of the Stour & Avon Magazine. Marilyn also presented the winners of the various painting categories with their awards. Our adjudicator this year was Melvyn Gates and the chosen charity was Help for Heroes for which donations were made throughout the exhibition. Ringwood Art Society Summer Exhibition 2009 Ringwood Art Society Summer Exhibition 2009 was kindly opened by Professor Khalid Aziz LVO DL FRSA - Chairman of Naomi House (please visit this link for more information). Professor Aziz gave a brief talk on the progress of Naomi House, a fantastic charity that provides hospice and respite care for children and their families, and also presented the winners of the various painting categories with their awards. |

Visitors enjoyed our fabulous 2008 Highcliffe Castle exhibition. Not only were the paintings to the Society's usual high standard, but Highcliffe Castle is a stunning example of renovation and local history. |
