A second visit to the Ringwood Allotments - and the welcome was as warm as the first.
It was a glorious sunny day and there was so much to choose from. We strolled around, drinking in the shapes, the colours and the patterns. There was a multitude of greens and such a variety of leaf shapes. Each plot had its own special character - some utterly neat, straight path to the shed, rows of canes standing to attention but draped in foliage, some more chaotic, with clusters of sunflowers gone to seed, vegetables (lots of pumpkins!) and bright dahlias spilling over.
We settled down, munching sweet red apples (variety unknown) and set to work.
