Workshop: Pam Philip - Still Life Floral

You could have heard a pin drop, such was the air of concentration that prevailed most of the day.

Still life allows for total concentration on shape, light, texture and colour. The subject isn’t going to move and won’t care at all if the weather changes. All the artist has to do is look, analyse, draw and paint (with the occasional, interruption for tea and biscuits). Pam painted, reminded us about the points from her demo and circulated round giving gentle advice.

It was a blissful day.
