Plein Air: Horseshoe Bottom
Our first attempt to meet on September 3rd was well and truly rained off so we postponed the event to the 10th. Only two of us braved it and we were rewarded with glorious rolling countryside and the last remnants of purple heather, russet bracken and blustering skies.
We stuck to water colour as the forecast was not encouraging and we thought we might have to pack up quickly. After about an hour we were rewarded with some sunshine and blue skies only to be positively drowned about 10 minutes later.
Once it dried enough to crawl out from under our umbrellas we decided the only thing to do was go and eat cake!
