Summer Exhibition Preview

After a great deal of hard work from everyone, the exhibition looked wonderful. There were 400 exhibits - paintings of all kinds, prints, collages, embroideries, sculpture, ceramics, glass and artists’ books. The portfolio stands overflowed. There was even a terrific life-sized sculpture in the courtyard to welcome visitors.

Friends, families and supporters toured the show, admiring the work. Councillor Rae Frederick, Mayor of Ringwood presented the trophies to much applause.

It was a lovely event, with a very warm atmosphere - a true celebration of the beautiful work produced by our members..

Many thanks to all those who heaved boards out of the shed (avoiding the spiders and the lawn mowers) set the exhibition space up, checked the lights, organised the refreshments, did the admin, monitored the finances, organised the publicity and stewarded the exhibition - the team that made this event happen is huge - and fabulous..

And it’s only ten months until we do it all again…..
